The So'ham Center

The Sanskrit term "So Ham" means "I Am", "I Am That", "I am Him".

I recently realized with deep emotion that T H A T could also be translated by "the One that Was, Is and will always Be".

Judith Lasater, physiotherapist & Iyengar Yoga teacher, explains : When breathing connects individual consciousness and universal consciousness, it becomes breath.

Judith also mentions that “breathing can be likened to the repetition of a mantra.”

AND So'ham is also known as the “ breathing mantra” and...
So'ham brings our individual consciousness (I) and universal consciousness (That or It) into communion. 
The So Ham mantra is usually recited silently as follows: So on inhalation, Ham on exhalation.

This also reminds me of Louis Fouché's sentence: "Present is the door, practice is the key".
As well as of Patanjali, II.45 समाधि सिद्धिः ईश्वरप्रणिधानात् samādhi siddhiḥ-īśvarapraṇidhānāt.  Union (samadhi) is achieved by offering oneself to the divine (ishvara). Breath, the Great Life. 

My first “connected” or unified experience was in 2008, just after the celebrations for BKS Iyengar's 90th birthday.

Having traveled from Pune to Tiruvannamalai, [Tamil Nadu, India], it was on the sacred mountain Arunachala, sitting motionless in the cave where Ramana Maharshi's mother lived, that time stood still for the first time. 

There was a before and an after to "Tiru".
The conscious search for non-duality (Advaita Vedanta) and "Who am I" began that year for me.
And it was only much later that I made the link with the teachings of Richard Moss, who I started following in 2008 !
