Born in 1956 in Antwerp, Viviane Gutlerner holds a master in sociology of the Université Libre de Bruxelles.
Certified Practitioner in Neurocognitivism (I.N.C. 2013), she has developed a practical stress management workshop for companies (2012), during her
30 year career for Bruxelles Formation, where she started as a teacher in languages, then in one to one communication skills in
enterprises.
Her practical stress managment workshop, without prerequisites or props and open to all, was completed by short movies - to help the students concretise the practical aspect
of Slowing down... to land.
In 1982, she discovered Iyengar Yoga with Jean Bernard Rishi with whom she was mainly trained in do in, shiatsu, ayurvedic massage and Korean relaxation.
Through him, she met Pierre Gariel - her first teacher and then Martine Le Chenic, as well as Daniel Rougier with whom she continues to train to
this day.
Her passion for this art led her to stay many times in India (till 2019), where she received the teachings of BKS Iyengar and also of his children Geeta and
Prashant. She made other trips devoted to Yoga, with Rachely Cheney (Galilea), Rajvi Mehta and Zubin Zarthoshtimanesh, both
based in Mumbai.
Yoga teacher certified by BKS Iyengar in Pune (India), Senior Viviane Gutlerner teaches this method since 1988 in Brussels.
Founding member and president of the Belgian Iyengar Yoga Association in 1998, she invites Geeta IYENGAR in 2002 for a unique teaching in Brussels.
In 2007, Viviane was representative for Belgium at the "Yogacharya Iyengar Festival"(Ca-USA).
Viviane followed the teaching of Vlady Stevanovitch from 1989 to 2005 and transmitted tai chi of the “Ecole de la Voie Intérieure”, from 1993 to 2010.
Trained in Korean Relaxation by its founder, Viviane started providing training in this technique in 1984.
Tania, having followed Viviane's yoga teaching since 2003, trained in Korean relaxation in 2009. Together they then co-led certified
training in Korean relaxation, as well as Sunday yoga workshops.
Viviane also explores various roads including the body and leading to the spiritual heart, conscious awareness, Non Duality in
the Present Moment.
Between 2014 and 2018, Viviane organized 4 yoga-stays in Tiruvannamalai (Tamil Nadu - India), allowing 30 people to discover this town, built around the holy mountain Arunachala, where Ramana Maharshi spent the major part of his life. For most of the participants, it was their discovery of India.
From 2012 to 2018, Viviane also organized & co-animated detox / fasting and yoga retreats in the north of France, first with Agnes, professionnal in health and yoga, then with Neele Dehoux, naturopath.
